TempoFlow ("the App") is a tempo training timer for iOS, developed and operated by Szymon Spławski ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
We built TempoFlow with a privacy-first approach: we do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers. All data processing happens entirely on your device.
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the data controller is:

TempoFlow does not collect, transmit, or have access to any of the following:
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The App contains no ads and integrates no third-party SDKs that collect user data.
TempoFlow offers optional voice control that allows you to start exercises by saying "GO." This feature requires access to your device's microphone and Apple's Speech Recognition framework. Here is exactly how it works:
On-device processing only. The App is configured to use Apple's on-device speech recognition (requiresOnDeviceRecognition = true). All audio captured by the microphone is processed entirely on your device by Apple's built-in speech engine. No audio data is sent to our servers, Apple's servers, or any third party.
No recording or storage. Audio is analyzed in real time to detect voice commands and is immediately discarded after processing. We do not record, store, or retain any audio in any form.
Fully optional. Voice control is not required to use the App. You can use TempoFlow with tap-based controls only. If you choose not to grant microphone or speech recognition permission, all other features remain fully functional.
iOS permission dialog notice. When you enable voice control, iOS displays a standard system message stating that "speech data may be sent to Apple." This is a generic message shown by the operating system for all apps using the Speech framework. Because TempoFlow enforces on-device recognition, your speech data does not leave your device. For more information, see Apple's Siri, Dictation & Privacy page.
TempoFlow stores your workout settings and preferences (such as tempo, sets, reps, and rest durations) locally on your device. This data:
You have full control over this data at all times.
We do not sell, share, rent, or disclose any user data to any third party. Since we do not collect any data, there is nothing to share.
The only system-level service the App uses is Apple's built-in Speech Recognition framework, which operates on your device. This framework is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Voice audio: Ephemeral. Processed in real time and immediately discarded. No audio is ever recorded or stored.
Workout data: Persists locally on your device for as long as the App is installed. We have no access to this data and cannot control its retention. You can delete it at any time by deleting the App or clearing app data in iOS Settings.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
Right of access, rectification, and erasure (Articles 15–17): Because all data is stored locally on your device and we have no access to it, you exercise these rights directly — by viewing, modifying, or deleting your data within the App or by uninstalling it.
Right to restrict processing and right to object (Articles 18, 21): You can stop voice processing at any time by disabling microphone permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
Right to data portability (Article 20): Not practically applicable, as we do not process your data on our servers.
Right to withdraw consent (Article 7(3)): You may revoke microphone and speech recognition permissions at any time through iOS Settings. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.
Right to lodge a complaint (Article 77): You have the right to file a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority:
Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO)
ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland
Legal basis for processing (Article 6(1)(f)): The limited on-device processing of voice commands is based on our legitimate interest in providing core app functionality. Since audio data never leaves your device, the impact on your privacy is minimal.
Because TempoFlow does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, the rights provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and other state privacy laws — including rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale of personal information — are inherently fulfilled. We do not sell or share personal information.
Do Not Track: TempoFlow does not track users across apps or websites. Because there is no tracking, Do Not Track browser signals are not applicable.
TempoFlow is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at the address above so we can take appropriate action.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make material changes that significantly affect our privacy practices, we will notify you through the App or through the App Store update notes.
